The name Astari comes from Aster - meaning star. For us, it is a symbol of subtle guidance and everyday reliability. Something that is always there, without needing to shout for attention.

Lion Foundation
More Than a Symbol
The lion has been part of Astari since day one. As the national symbol of the Netherlands, it represents strength, resilience, courage, and determination, values that inspire everything we do.
But to us, the lion is more than just our logo.
Wild lion populations continue to face growing threats from habitat loss, illegal trade, and human conflict. That’s why we’re proud to support the Lion Foundation, helping provide rescued lions and other large felines with expert care and, whenever possible, a second chance in protected sanctuaries.
For us, this is more than making a donation. We regularly visit the foundation with our team, meet the animals, learn their stories, and witness the incredible work carried out by their dedicated volunteers. It reminds us that behind every rescue is a life worth protecting.
The lion is part of our identity, and supporting its future is part of our story.
